SEO landing pages
We’re also looking to give you every possible advantage when getting pages ranked on Google. In version 4.2, our search engine optimization features are taking yet another step forward with landing pages. Now, each job category and location page will have a friendly URL that can help those pages rank better in Google. Here are a couple of examples of what it looks like:
- If someone browses by job category instead of getting a long unfriendly URL with PHP variables, they’ll get a URL like this:
http://www.yoursite.com/jobtype/automotive
- You’ll have search engine friendly landing pages for jobs in specific location as well. Here’s an example:
http://www.yoursite.com/united-states/south-carolina
SMTP support
This has been asked by customer in the past and is now possible! If you don’t want system e-mails sent through the standard server configuration (using PHP’s mail() function for you techs out there), you can now use any existing mail account with SMTP.
Localize your site to a single country
Some customers only want to target US or UK users and don’t even want to give the option to search for jobs in other countries. Now that’s easily possible with a single setting in the administrative area. You can choose which country to run the site in and the country dropdown will be hidden site-wide.
