Social media is the rave these days, and webJobs is getting more social. Many companies now have LinkedIn profiles that have information about them and the people that work there. If an employer has a LinkedIn page webJobs will find it.
How does it work? If an employer has a LinkedIn page a link will be added next to their company name. When clicked, the visitor can see a bit more information on the company (see below).
To see the full employer profile on LinkedIn, just click the company’s name in the widget. LinkedIn will show the profiles of other LinkedIn users working for the company, along with any other information the company has provided to LinkedIn.
This feature will be included in webJobs 3.6 which is planned for a 2010 release. Customers who have purchased webJobs within one year of the release date will be eligible for a free upgrade. If you’re a new customer, buy webJobs today and get this and all other 3.6 features before the pricing goes up!

This likedin widget sounds like a really neat function. I’m gonna set one up for myself.
will the widget also appear and be linked to an individaul who is registererd with linked in?
One other question. With Linked in gaingin significant ground in teh social media job posting arean, how soon beforre Webscribble will be able to assit purchasers of webscribble prodcuts with being able to pull in jobs from Linked IN?
Stephen,
The LinkedIn widget will show up for employers only if a company is found in there database. I like your idea of including jobs from LinkedIn, but to the best of my knowledge they don’t have an API (like SimplyHired/Indeed) to interface with to get jobs from their site.
