Almost everyone has a Facebook account these days. In fact, there are over 500M Facebook users as of today, and it’s growing quickly. Wouldn’t it be great if job seekers could import their Facebook data into your job board without the hassle of having to enter all of it manually? Well, now it is!
We’re really excited about this feature. In webJobs 3.6, job seekers will be able to log in using Facebook Connect and import their profile data into your job board. We import as much information as we can. At a minimum, this includes first name, last name, and e-mail address. webJobs will import even more information if the user has it, such as educational and employment history.
Here’s how it works: when a job seeker goes to register he’ll be prompted with an option to sign in with his Facebook account. That process looks like this:
After signing into his Facebook account, the user will be asked to give permission to share his data with your site from Facebook.
Finally, the user is redirected back to your job board and all the data webJobs can pull from the account is automatically inserted into the corresponding webJobs fields.
This feature will save your users a lot of time. This is just one more way webJobs is becoming more social and integrated with existing social networks. It’s a much-needed addition to the existing social features we have such as with Twitter, LinkedIn, and ShareThis.
This feature will be included in webJobs 3.6 which is planned for a 2010 release. Customers who have purchased webJobs within one year of the release date will be eligible for a free upgrade. If you’re a new customer, buy webJobs today and get this and all other 3.6 features before the pricing goes up!

Do you have a release date for this feature i.e. any particular month at all?
Hi Ben,
We’re still working on finishing it up and have some more new features to announce. We’ll keep you guys posted.
Thanks guys look forward to seeing more from you. Do you have a developers version of the job board available as would be keen to develop themes for this software.
Ben,
The version we send out is the same for everyone in terms of source code. I’m not sure if that answers your question. If not, just let me know.
Hi Alexander,
I meant do you have a local install only version which cannot be made, something you could install on xampp, so I can work on a theme and release it back to you guys as a sellable by product of the job board. I am looking to get into the web design side of things more so and developing for something like this may well get me noticed!!!!
I am getting quite used to hacking around with layouts/graphics etc, if you want to contact me privately and not post this message please feel free to do so.
Kind regards
Ben

great feature ~ does this differentiate between who is a job seeker, and who is an employer? does it give option to choose?
