Our New Year’s resolution is to release a new version of webClassifieds in the first quarter of 2011. We’ve already been hard at work on webClassifieds 2.0 and would like to show you what we’ve done.
First, we revamped the webClassifieds template. Our old look was dated, so we made a whole new template. The techies out there will appreciate that this new template is CSS driven and uses a table-less layout. Here’s what the new template looks like:
Besides the great new look, you’ll notice we added a location select on the front page. Many of you have asked to be able to list ads in specific locations (similar to how Craigslist and Gumtree work). Now you can. When enabled, users can list their ad in a specific country/state/city which makes it easier to find local ads. Don’t worry, for those of you that don’t want to use this feature, it’s totally optional.
We’re just scratching the surface with the new features in webClassifieds 2.0. Stay tuned for more!
webClassifieds 2.0 is slated to be released by the end of Q1 2011.
