Installation Wizard

The Installation Wizard for the Zipcode Locater plugin takes you through the process of loading the MySQL database of zipcodes to your site. The purpose of the Installation Wizard is to eliminate any manual editing of configuration files or executing of MySQL queries.  
 
To begin the Installation Wizard go to http://www.yoursite.com/install.php. Replace yoursite.com with your actual site address.  
 
If the previous sections of manual regarding the preparation and uploading of files were followed properly and the permissions on all the files were set properly you should see a page with a form asking you to choose which zipcode database you want to install (shown below). If you did not set permissions on certain files an error will appear notifying you which files you need to set the permissions on. You must set the proper file permissions before continuing with the installation process.

To proceed with the installation select the radio for the database you want to load. United States is the only option available by default. If you have purchased additional databases they will also be listed here. You can select from these as well if you want to install them as well. Click the Continue button once you have selected your database.  
 
A new screen will appear (shown below). This screen will refresh approximately 30-40 times during the installation. This is normal, DO NOT stop your web browser or click back.

Once the zipcode database has been loaded a new screen (shown below) will appear. All that you need to do on this screen is click the Coninue button. This will update your member database with the new zipcode data.

After the member database has been update the Zipcode Plugin installation is almost complete. The final screen will now appear (shown below). You now have two options. If you only have one zipcode database, which is the default, you can click the final Continue button. This will complete the Zipcode Plugin installation. If you have additional zipcode database(s) to install you should click on the Click Here link to return to the beginning of the Zipcode Plugin Installation Wizard. The installation process for the additional database(s) is identical.

After you have clicked Continue the Zipcode Plugin installation is complete. If you are installing these as part of the base package you can return to the main software's installation guide now, otherwise you are finished.
