After you have installed the webAffiliate plugin, it is time to configure it and set it up to start making money!

 

First, log into smartway. Go to http://www.yoursite.com/smartway/ Replace yoursite.com with your actual site address.

You will then log in with your username and password:

Once you are logged in, on the side bar under 'plugins' click the 'webAffiliate integration' link,

then click the 'webAffiliate Settings' link:

A form will display, most of it you filled out in the install wizard. The other fields are for setting up what events commissions will be paid when they occur:

To make webAffiliate™ aware of webDate™ contact stamps, subscriptions, etc., you must enter them into the webAffiliate database as you would any other product. In order for the software not to be confused, the title of an item as it appears under Billing Information in the webDate™ administrative backend must be the same as the item name of the related product in the webAffiliate™ system, and the two prices must match as well.

 

You can have commissions earned on new signups for webDate™ members. Commissions can be earned at three different steps in the signup process:

 

1.

Step 1 registration: When a new member completes step 1 of the registration process

2.

Complete registration: When registration has been completed (if you are not verifying emails, step 1 and 2 are the same, and you should only use one, or else you will have double commissions)

3.

Complete profile: When a new member has completed his/her profile

 

You can specify a "product" for any or all of these in webAffiliate™. The item names do not have to be anything special, but remember them, since you will need them later in this setup process. The item price would in reality be zero, but you can specify commissions higher than the item price; the webAffiliate™ software does not check for this.
