The Instant Messenger Settings page allows you to control the behavior of the instant messaging system.
You can allow non-paying members to use the instant messenger feature. Checking the checkbox will enable this feature. Leaving it unchecked will prevent non-paying members from using instant messaging.
The instant messenger window shows a brief history of messages between the two chatters. The number of messages that are shown in the history can be specified here.
The color of the username that is receive an IM can be configured. Enter a color value into the field.

The font that is used in the instant messenger window can be configured by this field. Simply enter a font value that you wish to be used in this field.
The instant messenger window is refreshed on a time interval. No new messages are shown until the window refreshes. For example, setting the value for this field to 5 will refresh it every 5 seconds. Users will then be able to see each other's new messages every 5 seconds.
If you wish to filter the words in your Censored words list simply check this checkbox. The system will replace any censored words with an "*".
