Customize Forms

In the Customize Forms page, you are able to change the XML file driving each form in your site. This allows you to change the CSS style and the Position of the form fields, along with Previewing the XML file.

Changing the CSS Style

You may change the CSS Style of each of the individual form fields. To do so, you must first select which form you would like to edit.

To change the CSS Style of a form, Select the CSS file from the drop down menu for the field you wish to change. - On the Customize Forms page, there is a table that contains the names of all the forms on the site. Select the form you want to edit by locating the form in this table and click the green Edit button under Controls on the same row as the form you wish to edit. Now you will see a similar table that represents all the form fields of that form (shown below). Locate the field whose Style you want to change and select the new style sheet from the drop down menu under CSS Class.

Apply the changes by clicking on the "Modify XML File" button - Once you have made the changes to the form fields, you must apply the changes. To do this, scroll down to the end of the Form Field table. Below the table there is a button labeled Modify XML File (shown below). To apply the changes, click this button.

Changing the position of the Form fields

By changing the position, you are changing the order in which they appear in the actual form.

To change the position of the form fields, Move the item up or down one position by using the appropriate links under "Controls" - On the Customize Forms page, there is a table that contains the names of all the forms on the site. Select the form you want to edit by locating the form in this table and click the green Edit button under Controls on the same row as the form you wish to edit. Now you will see a similar table that represents all the form fields of that form (shown below). Locate the field whose Position you want to change, and click the appropriate link under Controls to move this field up or down with respect to the other fields. (Click Move Up to move this field up one position, click Move Down to move this field down one position.)

Apply the changes by clicking on the "Modify XML File" button - Once you have made the changes to the form fields, you must apply the changes. To do this, scroll down to the end of the Form Field table. Below the table there is a button labeled Modify XML File (shown below). To apply the changes, click this button.

Previewing the XML File

This option lets you see a preview of how the form will look.

To Preview a form's XML File, Click on the "Preview XML File" button. - On the Customize Forms page, there is a table that contains the names of all the forms on the site. Select the form you want to edit by locating the form in this table and click the green Edit button under Controls on the same row as the form you wish to edit. Now you will see a similar table that represents all the form fields of that form (shown below). Make any changes you would like to the form. Once you are finished, or if you would just like to see how the form looks, scroll down to the end of the Form Field table. Find the button labeled Preview XML File (shown below). Click this button to preview the form.
