Censor

The Censor option under the Main Menu allows you to configure the site's censoring mechanism. This censor will be applied to any items that you have selected to be censored, such as resumes or cover letters. Here is where you specify the words you want the censor to recognize and the words you want to replace them with, if any. Below we will cover how to Add a Censor Rule, Edit a Censor Rule, and Remove a Censor Rule.  
 
 
 
Adding a Censor Rule  
 
do-it To add a censor rule, fill out the form on the Censor page - Once you click on Censor under the Main Menu you will see the form (shown below). Each field is described in detail below.

   bullet Censored Word/Phrase: Enter the word you want to censor out here  
     
   bullet Replacement: Enter the word or phrase that you would like the word specified above to be replaced with.  
 
   bullet Case-sensitive?: Check this box if you want the Censored Word/Phrase to be replaced only if it is found exactly as it is typed in the field with respect to capitalization. For example, if you were to type "Filter This" in Censored Word/Phrase and checked this box, then the censor would replace "Filter This", but not "filter this".  
 
   bullet Allow partial-word matches?: Check this box if you would like to replace the Censored Word/Phrase if only a part of it is matched.  
 
do-it Click on Add Censor to add the rule to the censor - After completing the form, click on Add Censor to add the rule to the censor.  
 
 


 
Editing a Censor Rule  
 
 
do-it To Edit a Censor Rule, locate the rule you want to Edit from the table on the Censor page and click 'Edit' - On the Censor page, you will see a table that displays all the censor rules for your site. Find the rule you want to edit, then click on the green Edit button under Controls on the same row.  
Note: If there are no Censor Rules, the table will not appear on the Censors page.

do-it Edit the information on the form and press "edit_censor" - Once you click Edit, you will see the same form that you filled out to add the censor, except all the fields will be populated with the current values of the Rule you are editing (shown below). You may edit any of these fields and then press the edit_censor button to submit your changes.

Removing a Censor Rule  
 
do-it To Remove a Censor Rule, locate the rule you want to Remove from the table on the Censor page and click 'Delete' - On the Censor page, you will see a table that displays all the censor rules for your site. Find the rule you want to remove, then click on the green Delete button under Controls on the same row.  
Note: If there are no Censor Rules, the table will not appear on the Censors page.

do-it Confirm that you want to remove the censor rule - You will be asked if you are sure you want to remove this rule. If you are sure, then click OK.

do-it Once the OK button is clicked, the Rule will be removed.
