Uploading Files

You can easily provide global access to data by uploading the webNetwork files to your web server.  Users can access files on the Internet with a browser.

 

Before initiating the uploading  process, you need to locate the publicly accessible directory in your web server. In most server configurations, public_html or www are the publicly accessible directories. Contact your web host for assistance if you are not sure of the right directory.

 

To upload files you must first connect to the server. Then use any of the below mentioned   routes to upload files:

 

Using Windows Explorer

 

Click Start on the Windows taskbar and choose Programs from  the Start Menu.

 

Go to Accessories in the  Programs menu and launch Windows Explorer.

Click the Binary button Binary buttonon the SmartFTP Client menu bar

 

Locate the folder or file(s) you want to upload in Explorer

In SmartFTP, double click the public directory (public_html or www in most cases).

Drag and drop the desired files from Explorer into the SmartFTP window.

 

From SmartFTP

From the top menu click FTP and then on Local Browser

Click the Binary button to upload the files in BINARY mode.

Locate the file(s)/folder you want to upload.

In SmartFTP, double click the public directory (public_html or  in most cases).

From the Local Browser window select the file(s)/folder you want to upload and drag it into the file list folder on your web server.
